Why do your eyelashes fall out?

There are four reasons why eyelashes fall out:

Madarosis
This is a mechanical reason why lashes fall out. Harsh environmental factors, such as the way you remove eye makeup, (wiping eyes too vigorously) and wearing heavy mascara can actually weigh down delicate lashes and cause them to fall out.

The incorrect weight and length of an applied eyelash extension can cause lashes to weaken, become finer and sever lash loss. To prevent this from happening I assess the Client's natural lashes BEFORE deciding on the appropriate thickness and length of the extension to be used.

Medication
An undiagnosed thyroid condition, either under-active or overactive, can cause natural eyelashes easily to fall out. Sometimes, when clients are taking Antibiotics- they may develop a reaction to eyelash extension glue.

Chemotherapy
Clients having Chemotherapy should not have extensions applied. They will need to wait 12 months AFTER the treatment ends. The lashes are too fine and vulnerable to falling out with any extensions applied.
